Scuba, Snorkeling, and Snuba

SCUBA AND SNORKELING CHARTERS
We are well suited for scuba diving charters with easy access from the boat to the water. We can transport you to secluded dive sites using our 9 foot Boston Whaler tender. We have a compressor on-board to refill your air tanks, cutting down on equipment transfers.

Day trips: Groups of up to 4, including snacks, water, tea, and a meal. Snorkeling and swimming stops are optional.

Weekend trips: Our sailing vessel has accommodations for four adult guests for extended stopovers. Meals, snacks, fluids, wine for after diving, bedding (if you need special, bring your own…it is a sailboat after all) are included.

SNUBA (SNORKELING WITH AIR HOSE) DIVING
While on-board, experience the newest way to dive without all of the weights, tanks, and training. Snuba diving is as easy as snorkeling. However, you have the ability to dive with two other divers to 60 feet using a hookah breathing device connected by lightweight air hoses. With just a mask and fins, you are ready to attach to the harness and breathing regulator. It is safe and easy and requires no certification. Two divers to 90 feet. Three divers to 60 feet.

Photography and Videography

I was trained in photography and videography at Ohio State University with a stint in Vietnam and Walter Reed Army Hospital to break up the doldrums of study. I was taught, trained, and dived with world-renowned divers, photographers, and videographers, such as Stan Waterman and the late great Jim Church. Stan is most well known for such blockbuster movies as "The Deep," "Jaws," and "Blue Water, White Death." He is the subject of the Discovery Channel movie: "The Man Who Loved Sharks". If you have read any scuba diving magazines since the1980's then you have seen photographs by Jim Church. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Management from Franklin University.

Master Diver

I first scuba dived in 1971 the old fashion way. I bought a tank and jumped into the ocean and learned as I went. It was the Mel Fisher Treasure Hunting Era all along US 1 in the Florida Keys from the 20 mile marker south. In 1974 I sat down and took all of the classes and got certified so I could dive the world and see the 2/3's of this earth that is covered by water - or as much possible. Currently, I have logged over 5000 recreational dives and 1500 hours of commercial diving. I also have a slew of coins and stories. I hold a Master Diver’s certificate with additional special dive certifications in caves, wrecks, search and rescue, nitrox, re-breathers, flying the pass, snuba, first aid, underwater navigation, and night diving.

Master Captain

I have delivered both power and sailboats up and down the United States coastline from Camden, Maine to Miami, Florida, and offshore from the Bahamas to Oranjestad, Aruba. I have logged tens of thousands of miles on the ICW, the Atlantic and the Caribbean, gaining tons of experience. I have a current 100-ton Master’s license issued and administered by the U.S. Coast Guard. I continue to upgrade through classes, experience, and lengthy testing. I am currently accumulating sea time to qualify for my 500-ton license. I have been delivering boats since 1973 and have been on the water, operating boats since the early 1950’s. I have personally operated up to and including 110-foot boats in the Pacific, South Pacific, Coral Sea, the ICW, the Caribbean, the Gulf of Mexico, the Great Lakes, and the Atlantic Ocean.
